21 taka Cricket Betting — Understand the Markets, Read the Odds
From T20 to Test, from BPL to international matches — this page explains the full picture of cricket betting at 21 taka. Market types, strategies for reading odds, and the details of live betting, all in one place.
Cricket Formats and Favourite Competitions
For Bangladesh's betting fans, cricket is more than a game — it is passion. When the Tigers take the field, the betting picture shifts with every ball. At 21 taka, you can bet across three main formats.
T20: The most popular format. Each team has just 20 overs, so the result can change on the last ball. Betting on this format is at its highest during BPL and IPL. The T20 World Cup brings a grand stage for international cricket.
ODI: A one-day match played over 50 overs. Less fast-paced than T20 but more tactical. Run rate calculations in the middle overs and the role of lower-order batters make betting interesting.
Test: Betting on this five-day format requires patience. Pitch conditions, weather and team balance are the three biggest factors in Test cricket. The ICC World Test Championship keeps this format relevant throughout the year.
Football and other sports can also be bet on at 21 taka. However, football does not have over-by-over live markets like cricket — markets such as half-time score, corners or goalscorer are more common there. By comparison, cricket betting is far richer in in-play opportunities.
Popular Cricket Betting Markets
Knowing which markets are available in a match makes betting much easier. The most commonly used markets are explained below.
Match Winner
SimpleThe match winner market is simply picking which of the two teams will win. There is no draw in T20, so one team must win.
Toss Winner
Quick ResultA bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. The result is known in the first minute — suitable for short-term markets.
Top Batsman
Performance MarketThis market is about picking which batsman will score the most runs in an innings. The batter closest to the highest run total in the team wins.
Total Runs — Over/Under
Numbers MarketPick whether the total runs scored will be more (over) or fewer (under) than a set number. In T20, you can also bet this way on how many runs will be scored in the powerplay.
Top Bowler
Performance MarketThis market is about picking which bowler will take the most wickets. Decisions are made by considering the pitch type and the batting lineup.
Multi Bet
Multiple MatchesWhen multiple markets are combined into one bet, that is a multi bet. The reward is paid only if every selection is correct — if even one is wrong, the entire stake is lost.

How to Read Odds — Three Formats
Odds on betting sites are written in three formats: decimal, fractional and American. They look different but mean the same thing. 21 taka generally uses decimal format, but understanding all three makes betting easier on any site.
Example 1 — Three forms of the same price
Team A to win — ৳200 stake:
| Format | Odds | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Total return ৳450 |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳200 profit + ৳200 stake returned |
| American | +125 | ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet |
If Team A wins, you receive ৳450 back (৳250 profit + ৳200 original stake). If Team A loses, the ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — The favourite's price
Team B is the favourite — ৳200 stake:
| Format | Odds | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.25 | Total return ৳250 |
| Fractional | 1/4 | ৳50 profit + ৳200 stake returned |
| American | -400 | Need ৳400 to win ৳100 |
If Team B wins, you receive ৳250 back (only ৳50 profit). In American format, a minus (-) sign means it is the favourite — higher chance of winning, so the profit is lower.
Odds are multiplied in a multi bet: if three selections have odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.90, the combined odds are 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.90 = approximately 3.99. A ৳100 bet returns ৳399 if all are correct — but if even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Odds are not a guarantee of winning — they are simply a numerical expression of probability. Betting is for entertainment, not a reliable source of income.
Live In-Play Betting — Odds Shift with Every Wicket
Placing bets while a match is in progress is called in-play or live betting. In cricket, this type of betting is more dynamic than in any other sport, because the situation changes after every ball.
Consider this example: in the powerplay, Team A has scored 30 runs for 2 wickets. At that moment, the odds for Team A to win will lengthen — because the pressure has increased. Conversely, if two sixes are hit in the next over, the odds will shorten again.
In Test cricket, pitch conditions change gradually, so in-play odds also shift slowly. In T20, the whole picture can reverse in a single over. New markets open as each over is completed.
Decisions in live betting must be made quickly. Markets are sometimes suspended for a few seconds — particularly after a wicket falls or during a review. This is completely normal.

Practical Tips for Cricket Betting
Betting is for entertainment. Keeping the following habits in mind will help you bet in a more structured way.
-
Set your budget in advance. Decide how much you will bet before each match and stick to that limit. Do not stake money you cannot afford to lose.
-
Choose markets to match the format. In T20, match winner or over/under work well. In Test cricket, session betting at the start of a day offers a separate angle to consider.
-
Focus on one market at a time. Start by getting to know one or two markets well. Spreading across too many markets at once splits your attention.
-
Bet responsibly. Betting is not a way to recover lost money. Know your limits and take a break when needed. Read our Responsible Gaming Guide for more information.
-
No rushing in live betting. In-play markets move fast, but take a moment to think before each bet. Avoid placing large bets on impulse.
-
Know the rules and terms. Before betting, read 21 taka's Terms and Conditions once, especially the conditions for using bonuses.
Keep in mind
Cricket betting is a form of entertainment. No market or strategy guarantees a win. Only those aged 21+ may bet.
